Panzhou City is located at the boundary areas among Yunnan, Guizhou and Guangxi provinces. It is the west gate to Guizhou, 200km away from the two capital cities. Kunming and Guiyang, respectively. The country has a total area of 4056km². It has 2 development zones at provincial level of Guizhou Province and 1 industrial park at municipal level of Liupanshui City. It has a population of 1.2 million. In 2014, the Gross National Product of the whole county is RMB 42.7 billion Yuan .
Since 2008, Panzhou City has been recognized as “one of the small cities with the strongest driving power in china” and “one of the top 100 counties among small cities with the highest investment potential in china” for six consecutive years. In 2014, Panzhou was awarded the titles of “The First Batch of Eco-civilization Demonstration Cities in China” and “The Most Beautify China Cities of Distinctive Destination of Eco-tourism”, and was ranked the 85th among the top 100 counties of China in terms of economy and basic competitive power,moving forward 2 place compared with prior year. It has become a banner for county economy development in Guizhou Province.
