The tourism growth spurt in Liupanshui has made the city No. 1 for a consecutive of seven years in terms of the tourism industry. Tourism has become a new growth for economic development. Especially noteworthy is health tourism.
With the unique natural resources, the city is increasing efforts in the fostering of market entities, to actively promote the reform of state-owned tourist attractions and state-owned enterprises related to tourism. All state-owned tourist attractions are undergoing reforms following a unified roadmap. State-owned enterprises related to tourism are undergoing reforms by groups and entities and following the market rules. We also introduce excellent participants for scenic spot operation management, investment and construction, industry format expansion, and customer attraction. Meanwhile, in the perspective of nurturing market entities, the city has introduced four excellent tourism-related enterprises, including Albion under FOLIDAY, a top 20 tourism company in China.
To upgrade health tourism, Liupanshui spares no efforts to create relevant brands. The Tuole Gingko Scenery Spot is awaiting the approval of being a national 5A scenic spot, and the Liuzhi Pubuyuan Longjing Buyi Style Scenic Spot and Panzhou Shengjing Spring Scenic Spot have been accredited as national 4A scenic spots. Other seven scenic spots such as Liuzhi Langdai Eco-cultural Tourism Spot, Shuicheng Ancient Town Scenic Spot, Shuichengchun Health Tourism Resort are awaiting the approval of being national 3A scenic spots. We also actively carried out rural tourism ratings. As of the end of October this year, Luomo Village of Miluo Town in Shuicheng was assessed as a key state-level tourism village, and other 10 villages including Luobie Village of Liuzhi Special District were assessed as key provincial-level tourism villages.
To further develop the public facilities related to tourism, promote the service quality and standardization level, and enhance the level of services, Liupanshui has completed the construction of restrooms in 11 scenic spots, upgraded accommodation facilities by planning to add 6500 beds this year, and promoted the declaration and upgrading of star hotels such as Liangdu Transportation Theme Hotel, and Hecheng Garden Hotel of Guizhou Hotel Group (the original Panjiang Yage Hotel). The application for five-star hotel for Hecheng Garden Hotel has passed the preliminary review by the national committee on tourism star-rated hotels.
It was not possible to have health tourism development without a team of professionals. In this regard, we have organized talent training programs and introduced qualified personnel to set up a vibrant team of tourism talents.
