Good morning! It is a great honor for me to introduce Liupanshui, the Cool City of China to you at this promotion seminar.
The development of tourism in Liupanshui is inevitably linked to the special climate. Thanks to the amazing weather and rich natural resources, we have developed a unique cultural tourism pattern that features "summer retreat and snow sports". With the enhanced impact of our tourism brands such as "A Resort of Health and Wellness, Cool City of China" and "A City of Ice and Snow in South China, Guizhou Liupanshui", the city has been positioned as a major functional area of "summer resort and center for health and wellness + winter sports" for cultural tourism in the construction of demonstration province of all-for-one tourism.
In this post-pandemic era, people value even more life and health, and pursue quality and healthy tourism, offering new opportunities for the development of tourism in Liupanshui. We would like to share the unique climate of the "Cool City of China" with you, and join hands to create exclusive tourism that features "summer retreat and snow sports".
It's hot in this world, and I want to go to the cool city! The cool weather in Liupanshui is rare and refreshing. The air here is pleasantly cool and fresh. In summer, the average temperature is 19.7℃, that is 3.5℃, 3℃, 4℃ and 3.6℃ lower than that of Chengde Mountain Resort, Mount Lu, Beidaihe, and Guiyang, respectively. 62% of Liupanshui is forested, the negative ions per cubic centimeter in the air is over 20,000. The average relative humidity in summer is about 83%. Over 99% of days in summer are comfortable and cool. Over 96% of days of a year features excellent air quality. Liupanshui is not only a world-famous summer resort, but also a true holiday destination and health resort.
We hope that enterprises could invest in the summer resort and health and wellness causes in Liupanshui. From the perspective of sightseeing, we've established 27 AAAA scenic spots, 1 national-level and 8 provincial-level tourist resorts, and promoted many new types of operation and new products such as sightseeing trains, scenic cableways, influencer parks, and 5D fulldome movies. Cooperative management, delegated administration, equity investment and many other ways of cooperation are welcomed to improve the operation level of the existing tourist attractions. Among the 18 grade-5 tourism resources in Liupanshui, there are 8 untapped ones. We would like to cooperate with capable enterprises to jointly operate the valuable tourism resources in Zangke River, Beipanjiang Grand Canyon, Liupanshui peak clusters, etc.
From the perspective of sports and health and wellness, we've created many sports events such as rock climbing, summer marathon, parasailing, and cross-country. We also planned many sports tourism projects such as Yuezhao international rock climbing town, Zangke River parasailing base, and Tiger Leaping Gorge sightseeing platform. We have included tourism equipment manufacturing in the seven major industries. We are waiting for your cooperation.
From the perspective of summer resort, we have established 10 star hotels, constructed many hotels in scenic spots, special homestay, and boutique inn, and planned many relevant projects such as Baiche River homestay and Yeyuhai healthcare town. We hope that enterprises with rich experience and strong brands could participate in the development and construction, and carry out cooperation with us in aspects of project investment and operation and management, to share the benefits brought about by the cool summer.
In Liupanshui, you can see the snow falling, and you will fall in love with the city, because this is a unique place that has snowfall in the south of 26 degrees North.
In winter, the Yunnan-Guizhou quasi-stationary front is developed along the grand Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. Liupanshui, at the area covered by the frontal surface, turns white with snow falling, becoming a shining pearl along the most beautiful landscape at 26 degrees North. With the favorable weather and the unique geographical locations, we've created 3 natural ski resorts that feature the lowest latitude in the world in the south of 26 degrees North, and constructed 9 ski tracks of various types that could accommodate over 10,000 visitors simultaneously. The average temperature in winter here is 3℃. The altitude of all these 3 ski resorts is about 2300 meters. The air is fresh and the oxygen is sufficient. There is no need for heavy winter clothes, and visitors could stay "lightweight" and enjoy skiing. Last winter, a total of 150,000 visitors came here, generating a revenue of over RMB30 million. The outlook remains solid. We hope that enterprises could invest in the winter sports in Liupanshui, participate in the construction, operation and management of ski resorts, and invest in the manufacturing of ski equipment, to fill the gap in winter travel at 26 degrees North.
Although a late starter, Liupanshui has great potential in tourism development. The time is right, and geographical and social conditions are favorable. The provincial government is promoting tourism industrialization, a convenient transportation network is being constructed in every county and scenic sport, and the business environment in the city ranks the second in the province for two consecutive years. This is the right time to promote tourism development in Liupanshui.
