In July 2017, Liupanshui submitted application materials to the China Hospitality Association. In October the same year, the Association organized leading experts to score and finally decided to award the distinction of "The City of Chinese Flipping Pot Food" to Liupanshui. On July 27, 2018, the China Hospitality Association read out the Decisions Regarding Naming Guizhou Liupanshui "The City of Chinese Flipping Pot Food" at the China Cool City · Liupanshui First Flipping Pot Food Festival and Eco-Cuisine Carnival, and awarded the memorial plaque of "The City of Chinese Flipping Pot Food" and the "Famous Chinese Snack" certificate.
